The Great Iraqi Bazar held for the fourth time in Howick had people from across Auckland indulge in the rich, traditional flavours of Iraqi cuisine.
The New Zealand Iraqi Woman Cultural Society recently hosted the its annual Great Iraqi Bazar at the Fencible Lounge, Howick.
Besides the gastronomic delights, the bazar offered a treasure-trove of Iraqi art, with stalls presenting an exquisite range of handcrafted mosaics, glassworks, and paintings. The artistic creations, encapsulated Iraq’s scenic beauty and age-old traditions, as it attracted art aficionados and casual enthusiasts alike.
Ensuring the guests had a taste of the famous Iraqi hospitality, the members of the New Zealand Iraqi Woman Cultural Society served all attendees complimentary Arabic coffee and dates – a traditional gesture appreciated by the many guests.
