Curacao! It’s an amazing destination for travellers. This beautiful island in the south of the Caribbean in between Aruba and Bonaire, has so much to offer, says avid traveller and superyacht chef JAMIE NEBEN.
The crystal-clear turquoise waters are perfect for snorkelling and diving, with vibrant coral reefs and colourful marine life.
The Dutch colonial architecture in Curacao’s capital city Willemstad is stunning. Thirty-eight gorgeous beaches frame the turquoise waters around Curacao, and each one offers a special experience.
From the famous Blue Bay Beach, to the secluded Playa PortoMari, you’ll find paradise everywhere you go. You can even take a tour through the Blue Curaçao factory to get an inside look of the distillery that makes the bright blue liqueur.
If you’re a nature lover, a visit to Christoffel National Park with its diverse wildlife and hiking trails is a must. Plus, the local cuisine is a mouthwatering blend of Caribbean and European flavours.
Don’t forget to try their delicious local cuisine, like Keshi Yena and Pastechi.
My favourite restaurant was Sal The Kitchen Curacao, a must-visit for any adventurous traveller!
